Aftershock - Great Movie

Went for the movie Aftershock today. I was out with her today during the late-afternoon after attending the Teaching seminar. However, we did not really do much after a meal, with her shopping and she not wanting me to send her back.

Since it was still early I headed to Vivocity to use up my Ben & Jerry's free scoop coupons. When I passed the cinema, I noticed that Aftershock was screening. I decided to go for the show. I was not disappointed. The show was really really great! I loved it. Not a single person left the cinema with dry eyes. It was that powerful and emotional. It is not a tear-jerker idol type of shows. Instead, the grim reality of the show made it all so much easier to relate to. Lesson learnt from the show, You have not really lost before till you are forced to lose someone to save another. I would go for the show again. It is sooooo good!

Reused Interview Tools

Went for an interview this week with a particular company. 4 years ago I had an interview with this company and did an IQ assessment test. 4 years later, it is still the exact same questions. I do not know whether to laugh or to cringe. On a side note, after talking to the manager, I realised one thing. I do not want to return to a manufacturing environment.

Rethinking

Do I want to tell her or do I hold back and continue this uncertainty?

Envious Little Trip

Got a friend who is about to be gallivanting around Dubai and Europe. I am so envious of her loooooong vacation.

Rested

I finally feel rested. Maybe it is time to go back to work?

Rotting or Recharging

Been home the whole day. She is not feeling well today and have to prepare for her lesson observation tomorrow.

Me? I am on my hiatus now but got to quickly find my next job. I left because of the ridiculous hours put in. Whatsmore, it was not my passion. Hopefully I can land something more acceptable soon.

Flashbacks & Departure

When we went out last night, I happened to chance upon 2 of my former students. One of them was once a student who had discipline and attendance issues. He was working at the restaurant where we went to have dinner. The other is a student now in Sec 4. She looks different with all that makeup. She was surprised with the level of frindliness both students showwed to me and I just shrugged it off as having never having belittled them. All of them are still my kids till this day. Heez.

On a separate note, I totally messed up my last day of work. Yesterday morning was supposed to be my last day but I forgot and turned up for work only to find my access card having been deactivated.

Finally I get to rest.

Worried

She just had some issues at school and I am kind of worried about her state of mind. Luckily she is wililng to come out and I am forgoing my sleep this afternoon. When one is concerned about someone else, what is a couple of hours of sleep before work?

Awaken By A Dream

I was sleeping and was awaken by a dream.

2 dreams stood out for me.

The first one I was with her walking but this time we were holding hands. Hmmm....

The second one I was in a classroom again but this time it was empty and I did not know where I was until I saw my name on the door. I walked through the school and it was empty. I did not even know which school I was at.

If only both dreams came true.

Hoping

Been having sleepless afternoons recently thinking about whether to broach the question to her. I want to ask but I am afraid.

She was back at school today to prepare her lesson plans. I was thinking of asking her out tonight but I think I let her finish her work first. The pressures of lesson plans, I know them only too well.

Cracked ATM Cards

Arggg. Both my DBS and Ctibank ATM cards are cracked. Waiting for my replacement to come soon. Else I don't have much cash left on me.

I am pondering whether to rest or to go back to work tonight. Yawn! I could do with clocking my OT hours finish earlier in the month.

Final Weekend With This Group

This is my final wekend running with this group of kids. Ooooh. It has been ok thus far and I hope that they will behave themselves now that I am returning to my original group. Now to get some sleep before work tonight.
