conventional or not

of recent there have been much talk about conventional and unconventional types of gals at my lifeguard course. the so called conventional types, slim and pretty, are getting the attention of some of the guys even though the gals are attached. whereas, the only "unconventional" female instructor was kind of ommitted when ever the guys are "salivating". when we are talking about instructors here, let it be known that the instructors are fellow students whom are more our "seniors" in lifeguard terms than instructors and are all younger than any of the new batch of lifeguards.

point aside, are we guys so fixated with the point of view that only "conventional" gals are desirable. what about the "unconventional" types? yes, i agree that the conventional types are good to look at and more of eye candy but let's not forget that many unconventional types are equally good eye candy. have anyone ever thought, when you are salivating at the gals, that the gals are also ignoring the unconventional guys at the same time?

much as many of us are trying to be the conventional types, have we ever wondered what we are putting ourselves through just to be considered conventional and desirable? and when we have become conventional, what then? personally, i feel it is more important to be healthy than to be conventional. so what if you are conventional but always falling sick? no point right?

some of you will then claim that i am defending myself. i do not deny it. i am defending myself but also plenty of the unconventionals out there. and lest i am giving the impression of being a bigot, due to my accident, let it be known that i have shrunk from 95kg with a 37inch waist to now a healthier 78kg with a 34inch waist.

i have to admit that beauty is indeed in the eyes of the beholder, but very often it is not so much the beholder but more of the beholder's upbringing. how the person has been taught, the values that has been inculcated in them. it all leads to how they view things. be it good or bad, pretty or ugly.
