expensive medical bills

in the past 2 days alone, i have spent close to $250 on medical bills alone. arggg. my insurance limit is about up and i'll have to start chipping away at my savings. haiz. i was hoping to save up for a trip to anywhere beyond ASEAN upon graduation and a diving trip in September. looks like both trips may not happen.

if anyone got younger siblings out there, get them to study hard and go into dentistry. for just 40 mins of root canal treatment done on 2 of my teeth, i was charged $230. and it was subsidised! the amount unsubsidised was $512! there's big money in dentistry.

same thing for my follow up with the plastics doctor today. simple consultation was at $20 and a jab of steriod of a mere 10cc was $7! again, unsubsidized was $53! man. i now really tempted to go australia and do my post-grad in medicine. come back as a doctor. hahaha. of 3 cousins born in the same year, i am supposedly the least qualified one, even after i grad with a B.Eng. got a cousin who has completed her MBBS and houseman year and about to be a full-fledged medical doctor/officer. the other had already graduated from NTU with an accountancy degree (can't remember if it was 1st or 2nd upper) and is now in Austria doing her degree in vetinary science. ahhh! 3 cousins, 2 females, 1 medical doctor, 1 accountant & soon to be vet, 1 male not doctor, not even masters.

man, i seem to be at the bottom of the scale. well, i almost did not make it into NTU, getting in only because of my SAT scores, and bumbling through NTU too, getting more Ds than Cs. final year is coming soon and i really fear. fear that i am not able to grad with my friends and mates. i don't want to be left behind. 8 modules next semester, MUST CLEAR ALL!
