the joys of human factors

i love attending my human factors lecture. there is so much to learn ad it's really very fun and enjoyable. only 4 weeks into the course and already we are looking at certain products in a different light. the lecturer is really great and he includes alot of anecdotes. makes the class so much more enjoyable.

just yesterday, we were discussing about how our senses will take precedence in the different tasks we do. there was once a research done about smell and potential partners for females. it has been a known fact that us humans are attracted to our repective future mates by smell ala animals. however the research has shown that gals have a tendency to go for guys who smell abit like their fathers. what the?! hahahaha. lesson learnt here, guys should not bathe before a date. hahahaha.

in a discussion among my friends we did agree on one thing. that all humans, when chosing their respective life partners, that subconciously, they are chosing people who are abit like a close family member, be it their parents, siblings or even cousins. truly fascinating the human brain.

had the opportunity in taking the same lift today. standing side by side, not a word was uttered. haiz. i still haven't got the courage to even say hi.
