Meritocracy......Good or Bad?

Meritocracy. A key word in Singapore's context. On the one hand, you push people out of their comfort zone to become better people. Yet on the other end, in the pursuits of the ultimate prize, humanity is lost. As a result, social cohesion has degraded. Is this how we want Singapore to be?
