day of fun with the gang
exams are over and the gang spent an entire day hanging out. we met up at 2pm for a 4 hour karaoke stint, during which i realised that kah leong's singing voice sounds like ah shin from the chinese band mayday. wow! as usual i was the resident croaker there and the group was commenting at my selections of english songs only. well, i did a couple of cantonese songs as well but yeah, that is more like my style. during the karaoke session we even smuggled in some personal pan pizza from pizza hut bought at a low rate of $2.62 each only. haha. with the complaint of the room being cold, applying the theory of heat transfer, we hekd the boxes of hot pizza to keep ourselves warm. haha. eating the pizzas also helped us to raise the body heat some.
after the karaoke session, we went around hunting for a eating spot. from no signboard to some japanese buffet, we looked around for some place good and within our budget. in the end we settled for thai buffet at siam kitchen. i guess the pizza earlier had filled us and after only one serving of the dishes on the buffet menu, i was filled. we chatted and discussed our post graduation plans. some had to finish off their national service commitments, some had found a job already, some were preparing for graduation tours.
after dinner, we adjourned for bowling. oooh yeah, my favourite past time after scuba diving. playing just for fun, i started out very badly but in the end managed to close off at just over 100.
a movie session of mission impossible 3 came next. the movie was ok, i was not overly impressed. well, only the missle firing drone. it was my favourite scene from the movie. by the time the movie ended, it was just nicely around 12 midnight. we were thinking of maybe finding a place where we could sit down have a drink and chat.
us remaining 5 guys then went for a session of 9 ball pool. it was a pretty good session with the egging and jibes. it was already 1.30am when we were done. calling it a day, we bade farewell and wished each other luck in our fyp presentation statring on tuesday. being the "cheapo" i am, i chose to walk home from esplanade and only just reached home all tired and sweaty.
