Resign Before Me?

For the first time in my career, a team mate of mine has tendered resignation before me. Oh man! Haha. It really is time to move on. I am moving on too myself. Soon. Soon.

Recovering

I was worried the whole night. Thankfully she is feeling much better today. Although she is still in some pain at least it has mostly subsided. Brought her some porridge from Chinatown. The porridge from the same stall I have been patronizing for the last 20+ years. Haha.

Later in the day, when she felt better, we headed out for Kung Fu Panda 2. It was surprising that we could land tickets for the show, given that it was the weekend and it was really popular. Whatsmore good seats, not your front row seat. I am really happy that we are spending more time together and that she is sharing more of her life with me.

Food Poisoning

We were supposed to go for a show but she was down with a bad case of food poisoning. When she called saying that she was in pain, I quickly rushed over in a cab to bring her to the doctor. Thankfully she did not need to be referred to the hospital. I hope she recovers soon. It pains me to see her in pain.

Fluish

Arggg......feeling flusih again. I need to rest.

I Hate Being Alone

I hate the feeling of being alone.
It is so empty.
Yet, I will not lose my morals just to keep myself occupied.

I Feel Tired

I am feeling really tired now.
I really am tired of being who I am.
I try to be nasty but I just can't.
I tried being bad but I just can't.
I don't have a bad bone in me.
It is so tired being who I am.
I have even lost my temper.
I have TOO MUCH patience.

I really feel I am wasting it all away at the moment.

Haha. Yes, yes. Fat old me has a date. It is with a group of ladies. Well, nothing fantastic. My kids asked me out next week.

Sort Of Happy

I am feeling happier this week. Things seem to be picking up. I really hope things happens soon.

On a side note, was at the Kwan Im temple today. Have been some time since I went there. I miss my Granny.

Away From Work

Was mostly away from work this week. Yeah. On course at Shenton Way and it was interesting. Back to an old stomping ground of mine. Haha.

Elections Over......Back To Work

Sigh. After all the ups, after all the talk, after all the feet stomping and acting cute, the elections are finally over. Glad that the Opposition finally won a GRC but damn pissed that that "feet-stomping, act-cute-buay-cute, kate spade hugging, v-sign" idiot sneaked in to parliament. Argg......

Well, time to sleep now. Mum's coming home soon. Got to go to the airport later to fetch her. Yawn!

Polling Day Activity

0700: Wake up, wash up.

0800: Left home and headed to Polling station

0805: Entered designated polling station 400 meters from my home

0807: Marked the "X" on my ballot card (first time leh, abit excited)

0808: Exited polling station

0812: Bought Prawn Mee for breakfast

0820: Realised that Primary School 50 meters from my home is also a polling station but not designated to me

0830: Sat back and enjoyed my prawn mee breakfast in the comfort of my room

Look What Landed On Cooling Down Day

On this day, when it is the cooling down day before tomorrow's polling day for Singapore's Election, look what landed. Haha.

Great Quote From NSP Rally

I was watching some of the highlights of the rallies held for the election in Singapore. One particular video had me laughing and shouting my approval. In her speech, Nicole Seah of NSP said this, "The PAP said that the Opposition is in this for the fame and money. Hello! If I were in this for fame and money, I would have joined the PAP!"

She is really good but the feeling on the ground is that SM Goh will still hold on to Marine Parade. Sigh. Get used to seeing more Kate Spade bag appearance.

To Go Or Not To Go

Met up with a friend today for coffee. We were discussing about our career plans and decided if we should leave our respective positions.

We also had a good laugh of the most recent scandal to hit my company (big American IT company at Depot Road and Alexandra), where a foreign American Chinese Female Engineer is involved in an illicit affair with a married SIngaporean Malay Manager. The female engineer is so stupid to be involved with the manager as he is known to be a player. Dumb move. Both of them are so going to be fired soon for flouting company regulations as he had used his position of authority to give her more exposure at company events, such as being involved in committees and attending events only for management, when she has done nothing to deserve it. Well, maybe except letting him do things to her that, previously the manager had received a warning against for inappropriate conduct with other female subordinates. Tsk tsk tsk.
